TAIGA fencing is a UK-based company specialising in the design and manufacture of thermally modified wooden fence panels. Our fence panels are therefore 100% natural! Yes that’s right, no chemicals, biocides, fungicides or other hidden preservatives.
Having worked in the Landscaping and Fencing industry for 10+ years we wanted to find an alternative product to tanalised wood that offers similar longevity and durability but without the chemicals.
The Advantages or ThermoWood:
- A natural appearance – no green or brown tinges.
- No risk of chemicals leaching into the surrounding soils or polluting water courses.
- Can be recycled at the end of its intended use as opposed to it needing to be incinerated or sent to landfill.
- Offer no risk to fencers when handling and installing the product as it is 100% chemically-free.
Thermally modified wood undergoes a chemical-free process in Finland that utilises heat and steam to enhance the wood’s structural properties.
