FAQ’s
Does ThermoWood last as long as tanlised wood?
Yes, with a timber classification of 2 according to BS EN 350-2, TheremoWood is expected to last between 15 to 40 years above ground.
Can ThermoWood be recycled at the end of its intended purpose?
Yes, unlike tanalised wood which has to be either incinerated or put into landfill, ThermoWood can be recycled as untreated wood. The heat treatment process used to produce ThermoWood does not involve any chemicals, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Does ThermoWood change colour ‘weather’?
In its natural state Thermo-Nordic Pine is a light to medium brown tone.
With exposure to UV it will start to weather and change to a silverly grey tone
